Required experience

• 2 years of recent acute-care ICU nursing experience — required
• 6 months of travel nursing experience — required
• 1 year of recent travel experience — preferred
• Experience should be in an appropriate adult ICU setting.

The nurse must be a student or graduate of an accredited:

• BSN/baccalaureate nursing program
• Associate degree nursing program

• BLS/BCLS — required
• ACLS — required by manager
• Specialty-specific certifications/training as required by the particular ICU.

For Midwest assignments, the BCLS certificate must not expire within 3 months after the start date.

• CCRN

The candidate should have strong acute-care ICU experience and ideally exposure to:

• Ventricular assist devices (VADs)
• Impella
• ECMO
• Balloon pumps
• CRRT
• Transplant patients

CRRT and/or transplant experience is preferred and may vary by unit, rather than being a universal hard requirement.

Previous Epic charting experience is also preferred/relevant.
