Role Overview
Manufacturing Technician provides and supports manufacturing equipment, materials, and processes to ensure efficient assembly of products, meeting customer quality, expectations, and on‑time delivery specifications.
Responsibilities- Creates and maintains machine programs and profiles for new and existing products.
- Aids in maintaining product routings, drawing packets, and interpreting instructions/specifications for manufacturing operators.
- Troubleshoots operator problems, works with leadership on training and process improvements.
- Communicates problems to Engineers and/or leader.
- Assists in testing and qualification for new equipment, materials, and processes.
- Assists in performing experiments for failure analysis and root‑cause analysis.
- Recommends additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for product debug areas.
- Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
- Complies and follows all company security policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors; exercises judgment to determine appropriate action.
- Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
- 5+ years of experience and ability to effectively train diverse groups.
- Good analytical skills and ability to assimilate a wide range of data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal, multitasking, organization, and prioritization skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and exercise discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
- Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
- Strong customer service and client focus.
- Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and Web Ex conferencing software.
- 2‑year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent education and experience as approved by executive management.
- Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.
2‑year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work ScheduleShift 2 – Monday to Thursday, 15:30 to 02:00.
LocationRochester, MN.
Compensation and BenefitsCompensation Range: $24.26 to $30.33 USD per hour.
