Role Description
This full‑time Postdoctoral Researcher position is located tao Wang’s laboratory (wang.haitao) in Rochester, MN. The researcher will design and conduct molecular and cellular experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret results. Daily duties include cellular, mouse and molecular studies, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and grant applications. The role involves regular discussion of findings with supervisors and collaborators, participation in lab meetings and seminars, and staying current with scientific literature.
The researcher may mentor students or junior team members, support teaching‑related activities, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Strong laboratory skills, including hands‑on experience with experimental design, protocol optimization, and safe operation of relevant lab equipment.
- Demonstrated research experience with a solid record of publications, conference presentations, or equivalent scholarly output.
- Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical methods, quantitative modeling, and use of software tools such as Graph Pad.
- Teaching or mentoring experience, with the ability to guide students, trainees, or junior staff in research methods and scientific communication.
- Background in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology or a closely related field.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft manuscripts, reports, and grant‑related documents.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet research timelines.
