Position Summary

Position Summary... What you'll do... Leverages leadership to drive team development, customer service excellence, and store operations alignment with business initiatives, change efforts, and company direction.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; tour stores and provide feedback; communicate and collaborate with all levels regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduce and lead company change efforts with clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions; communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following and modeling the One Best Way (OBW) service model; manage and support customer service initiatives including community programs and outreach.
  • Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies; provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Drive financial performance of the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring alignment to sales; monitor merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals; provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and recognition.
  • Coordinate activities with key stakeholders; build accountability and measure progress; communicate goals and objectives and address improvement opportunities; promote continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics; support Open Door Policy; apply these principles in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications – Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications: 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of CBC and Firearms Authorized Training may be required. For facilities that sell only ammunition, a state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.

Associates will be required to attend and complete all required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
