Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills. You will establish retailer relationships while representing Hallmark, collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion, you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00–$17.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
- We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom modules.
- Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 5 and 10 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. - Holiday support:
Support Hallmark’s seasonal demand by working additional days and extended hours around Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On certain holidays you may be required to work on the actual holiday, which may include weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers as needed within the Hallmark field organization, creating a collaborative work environment.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs and use ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Physical ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Reliable transportation for travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
