Role Description

We’re hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage a book of business in our territory. You’ll prospect for new accounts, develop relationships with existing customers, and coordinate internally to ensure orders, deliveries, and customer needs are handled smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone who likes being in the field, enjoys building trust, and knows how to turn activity into consistent revenue.

What You’ll Do
  • Grow revenue in a defined territory by prospecting, visiting customers, and closing new business
  • Manage relationships with existing accounts: check-ins, problem-solving, and product expansion
  • Generate quotes and win orders by understanding customer needs and providing timely, accurate pricing
  • Work with internal team to coordinate ordering, delivery, backorders, and customer communications
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell/up-sell and new product adoption
What Success Looks Like (First 90–180 Days)
  • Learning our product lines, processes, and key customers
  • Building a consistent weekly cadence of calls/visits/follow-ups
  • Establishing a clean pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Converting quotes to orders and earning repeat business
  • Becoming known for responsiveness and follow-through
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience (outside sales preferred)
    or strong evidence you can sell and self-manage
  • Comfortable with prospecting (calls, walk-ins, referrals) and asking for the order
  • Strong organization: follow-up, quote tracking, and relationship management
  • Professional communication—clear, prompt, and dependable
  • Valid driver’s license; comfortable driving daily in territory

Bonus points for: distribution, industrial, MRO, construction, automotive, lubricants/chemicals, or government contracting exposure.

Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs occasionally (product samples/boxes)
  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily route
