Responsibilities
- Promote Mayo Clinic's core values and support community-based health care and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests.
- Generate new business revenue and co‑develop client‑specific account and/or test selling and promotional strategies.
- Project annual sales growth, market dynamics and economic conditions in collaboration with the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers and client stakeholders, and implement business plans for territory/accounts.
- Effectively sell and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and its clients, differentiate from competing interests, coordinate appropriate resources, develop presentations and participate in the bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
- Identify specific tests or groups of tests that are differentiated in the market, pursue upsells to targeted clients, negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution, and monitor the accurate lock‑in of prices.
- Field‑based sales position with occasional overnight travel required.
- Hold a bachelor's degree and possess three years’ experience in sales (preferably within the market segment represented, e.g., Neurology), physician/client‑facing contact or negotiating contracts within a hospital or laboratory setting.
- Work from an office in home territory (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota); relocation not offered.

- Comprehensive human relations, management and communication skills; must be accountable, adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible and customer‑focused.
- Ability to manage several projects or tasks simultaneously, prioritize, exercise appropriate judgment and make decisions in a complex environment.
- Adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures; ability to function in a diverse work environment while selling MCS Services and providing direction to clients concisely, sensitively and professionally.
- FACHE certification preferred; valid driver’s license and good driving record required, with extensive travel on major public transportation.
- Commitment to the role for at least two years; may be extended for continued service.
- Must live within the listed territory to be considered for this position.

$155,600 - $192,416 / annually (Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended).
