Business Development Representative – Sales
The Business Development Representative (BDR) – Sales is responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and distributing information related to inbound and outbound sales activities. This includes handling inquiries for new and used vehicles, managing internet leads, and providing general information to prospective and existing customers. The Business Development Rep. must be able to work every other Saturday as part of the job schedule.
Core responsibilities include qualifying internet leads to create sales opportunities, scheduling sales appointments for sales consultants, making outbound phone calls to new and existing customers, assisting sales consultants in selling vehicles through phone calls, text messages, and emails, answering inbound sales calls and gathering relevant customer information, updating and maintaining detailed notes within the CRM system, testing and implementing various prospecting tools and software, and performing other duties as assigned by management.
Job requirements include the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, being tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software and tools quickly, strong verbal communication skills, especially over the phone, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, self-motivation with strong work ethics, critical thinking skills, active listening skills, ability to adapt to the continually evolving automotive sales industry, and strong time management and organizational skills.
