Lead the initiation and implementation of recruitment and retention activities to expand the Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Program. Activities include educating the community about blood donation, engaging with local organizations, and supporting strategic marketing, communication, and graphic design efforts. Responsibilities also cover implementing and evaluating recruitment and marketing strategies, ensuring effective, accurate messaging, and maintaining brand standards across social media, databases, and internet applications.
This role may require travel and weekend or evening work.
- New hires must complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic.
- Visa sponsorship is not available. This position does not participate in the F‑1 STEM OPT extension program.
Bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, communications, or marketing plus two years of related experience. A master’s degree is accepted in lieu of experience. Prior experience in the blood banking industry is preferred. Candidates must be self‑motivated, self‑directed, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Strong oral and written communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are required.
A valid driver’s license is mandatory. This hybrid position must be located within 100 miles of the Mayo Clinic campus in Rochester, MN for quarterly on‑site expectations.
