Security Management & Operations
Security Specialists provide security services for the assigned program (e.g., threat assessment/management, intelligence, security technology, workplace violence, education and training) or special projects/assignments to all Mayo functions and entities, and to external clients as directed. Security Specialists may also be required to research or revise security-related policies, procedures or standards and apply structured improvement methodologies.

QualificationsBachelor's degree with three years of progressively responsible security experience or associate’s degree with five years of progressively responsible security experience or HS/GED with seven years of progressively responsible security experience.
Additional Experience and/or
Qualifications:
- Strong ability in leadership, personal interaction, time management, assessments, analysis, and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and project administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Licensure/Certification
Required:
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation, or equivalent, required within two years of date of employment. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic Policy.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. - Schedule Details Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Additional flexibility is required to support 24/7/365 hospital operations and business continuity activities as needed.
