Responsibilities
- Perform basic to advanced installations, disconnects, and service changes for residential and business customers for high‑speed internet, phone, and TV services.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and repair for services from the fiber terminal or the ONT to consumer electronic devices (TV, modem, wireless devices, etc.).
- Install and troubleshoot all Metro Net services from the terminal to customer premise equipment (CPE).
- Provide in‑depth customer education on all Metro Net products and services.
- Earn commissions by explaining Metro Net services and products to customers.
- Demonstrate professional behavior with customers and associates.
- Work toward meeting key performance metrics.
- Other duties as requested (subject to all applicable state and federal laws).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with a telecom/fiber company preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods.
- Physical ability to work in various conditions, including attics, crawl spaces, and adverse weather.
- Physical ability to climb ladders up to 25 ft with proper equipment (safety belt, strap, hard hat, etc.).
- Ability to lift and carry loads of up to 75 lbs, including a ladder.
- Ability to work with basic hand tools and specialized equipment with training.
- Operate and maintain company vehicle/equipment safely and professionally.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Willingness to work as a team and independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Job Requirements
- Perform on‑call rotation duties after regular business hours.
- Available to work overtime when deemed necessary, including holidays and weekends.
- Available to travel for training or as needed.
