. The purpose of this role is to eliminate unsafe lifts, prevent crane conflicts and maximize safe execution. This position will be on the job site every day and will fill a key role on the project team.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as the single point of coordination for multi‑crane projects to ensure safe, conflict‑free, and efficient operations
  • Leads crane safety, including lift planning, rigging oversight, and real‑time monitoring of conflicts, site conditions, and operator readiness
  • Optimizes crane utilization by managing schedules, trade access, and daily demand planning
  • Maintains planning tools (interaction matrix, lookaheads) to anticipate conflicts and manage capacity
  • Owns operational execution, including operator coverage, certifications, maintenance, inspections, and communication
  • Reviews and approves lift plans to ensure safe rigging, load capacity, travel paths, and landing zones
  • Holds authority to direct operations in real time, resolve trade conflicts, and stop unsafe lifts immediately
  • Own crane operational readiness: coordinate operator coverage, track hours/fatigue, verify certifications, and schedule inspections/maintenance
  • Complete daily reporting and documentation
  • Develop and coach field staff, manage workload/performance, and foster a positive, inclusive team environment
  • Build credibility with owners, unions, and partners and strengthen client and industry relationships
Qualifications
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with rigging and/or crane operations
  • Prior experience as an ironworker foreman, rigging superintendent, crane operator, or superintendent, with strong field leadership in crane operations and site coordination
  • OSHA 30‑hour certified
  • NCCCO Lift Director Certification preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of rigging practices, crane load charts, site logistics, and trade sequencing
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
