The Employment Specialist supports youth ages 16–24 in achieving competitive, integrated employment and educational goals through person‑centered, culturally responsive employment planning, coaching, and skill development. This role promotes youth voice, self‑sufficiency, and career readiness while advancing equitable access to workforce and post‑secondary opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, social work, youth development, or vocational Rehabilitation or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years experience working with youth experiencing homelessness
- Training in youth development, harm reduction, and/or trauma informed care
- Familiar with computer programs and database systems.
- Use of personal vehicle for agency business.
- Adequate communication skills.
- Ability to document accurately and complete case noting and reporting.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Comply with Lutheran Social Service’s standards of confidentiality.
