Postdoctoral Fellowship Position In Artificial Intelligence
Mayo Clinic's Department of Neurosurgery in Rochester, MN is recruiting up to two postdoctoral fellowship positions in artificial intelligence. The position is for a 1-2 year paid fellowship working under the mentorship of Dr. Gelareh Zadeh and Dr. Hojjat Salehinejad. The application is open to both clinicians and research candidates, including those currently in training or have recently completed training (post-doc).
The expectation at the end of the fellowship is that the fellow will be well prepared to become a leader in Healthcare AI/ML, either in the academic or biotechnology setting.
The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in data structures and algorithms, Python programming language (including Tensorflow/PyTroch), Linux shell scripting, DBMS (e.g. MySQL, Redis), Docker, stochastic processes, statistical learning, and machine learning (particularly deep learning). Expertise in Google Cloud Services (GCP) is a plus.
The candidate must have a track-record of publications/scientific writing and have strong proficiency in all four skills of English language, particularly experience in writing scientific manuscripts. It is anticipated that in addition to an independent research projects candidate will assist in developing the strategies specific to discovery research and deploying AI approaches within the Department of Neurosurgery.
Qualifications:
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program.

Compensation Detail: $68,564.00 - $80,210.00 / year;
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
