Position Summary
The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and deliver all freight undamaged while providing a world‑class customer service experience.
Duties & Responsibilities- Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations and report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
- Demonstrate stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Class B required, Class A strongly preferred.
- Clear, three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

- Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
- Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
- Operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle, including unloading from flatbed or boom.
- Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
- Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information.
- Work constantly in an outside environment while making deliveries.
- Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
- Manage stress depending on customer deadlines.
- Multitask effectively.
- Receive information and directions accurately.
- Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur.
- Demonstrate sound judgment.
The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23.51 to $29.90 per hour, with variation based on location, education, training, and experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime, performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
