We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sustaining Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on supporting and improving our existing product lines, primarily gas combustion heating systems
. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in combustion systems and a strong understanding of industry standards relevant to the heating sector.
- Provide technical leadership for sustaining engineering activities on gas combustion heating systems.
- Investigate and resolve complex product issues, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing products, including cost reduction and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, and service) to implement engineering changes.
- Ensure adherence to applicable standards and regulations within the heating industry.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for field and production issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred). - Experience:
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in combustion systems. - Proven track record in sustaining engineering for complex mechanical/electromechanical products.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to heating systems (e.g., ANSI, CSA, UL standards).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with gas combustion system design and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with safety certification processes and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and cost optimization strategies.
- Knowledge of Heat Pump and or Refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of PLC programming
