Rochester Eye Care Associates is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator to serve as a lead presence within our front desk operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned medical or optical front office professional who is confident in their skills, takes ownership of their work, and can help guide day-to-day front desk workflows.

As the Patient Care Coordinator , you will be a key point of contact for patients while also serving as a resource for front office processes, accuracy, and efficiency. This position plays an important role in maintaining a smooth patient experience and supporting the overall success of the practice.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary front desk contact, setting the tone for a professional and welcoming patient experience
  • Manage patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and phone inquiries with accuracy and efficiency
  • Oversee and support front desk workflows to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Handle administrative tasks including documentation, insurance verification, and billing support
  • Utilize knowledge of medical and/or optical billing and coding to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Act as a lead resource within the front office, supporting consistency, organization, and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient journey
Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in a medical or optical office required
  • Experience with billing and coding; optical billing experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Professional, patient-focused demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Interest in healthcare and patient service excellence
