Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Vascular Ultrasound Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester, New Hampshire. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS)
Current ARRT Certification in Sonography
Current Credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic imaging of arterial and venous blood vessels using high-frequency sound waves. They ensure that patients are prepped for examinations, perform ultrasound scans, and analyze the sonograms for diagnostic purposes. This role requires technical expertise, patient-centered care, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Essential Work Functions:
Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Utilize duplex scanning, color Doppler, and spectral analysis to evaluate arterial and venous blood flow, detect occlusions, stenoses, and other vascular abnormalities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging findings into patient care plans
Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure
Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of arterial and venous studies
Evaluate vascular images for clarity and accuracy
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasound equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety
Apply technical skills and expertise in the skilled usage of sonography equipment
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, both verbally and in writing, to document findings and coordinate care
Work efficiently in high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism and accuracy
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Required Essential

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
