Responsibilities
  • Support growing commercial services sector
  • Install and support Breezeline’s Commercial Hosted Voice (VOIP), enterprise fiber and small business (SMB) services
  • Respond to Hosted Voice, commercial fiber circuit and SMB trouble calls
  • Assist Technical Operations construction team with Commercial fiber deployments
  • Assist Network Engineers during optical and network upgrades
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform Hosted Voice service installations with internal sales and provisioning teams, including pre-qualification visits, site surveys, pre-installation and installations
  • Install Breezeline Hosted Voice phones/devices, commercial fiber routers and other CPE
  • Coordinate with Sales and Business Services to design and implement hosted phone changes to minimize disruption
  • Troubleshoot and analyze IP voice and data issues and participate in scheduled maintenance during upgrades
  • Coordinate with the Advanced Services Group during current customer system interruptions and device troubles
  • Possess technical knowledge related to PBX and VOIP systems, ethernet and fiber networking, PC software, back office connectivity, and CATV coax
  • May assist local Technical Operations teams with additional tasks as approved by Manager Field Operations

Education and/or Experience

Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two years college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities

Language Skills: Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence; present information to managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts; apply basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; interpret complex technical details.

Desired Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Google Workspace
  • Layer 2/3 networking technology
  • Familiarity with VLAN and multicast
  • Back office enterprise network technologies
  • PBX phone system and SIP phone experience
  • Familiarity with data center environments
  • Ability to perform clean cabling and professional installations
Other Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Adhere to Local, Federal regulations and company policies
  • Ability to carry, climb and work from a ladder
  • Occasionally work in outdoor environments
  • Differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires
  • Drive a Company vehicle safely
  • Work in tight spaces including bending, reaching and twisting
  • Operate appropriate test equipment
Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, and climb; may lift and move a 28’ ladder weighing up to 75 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Experience
  • Computer Networking: 1 year (Preferred)
  • LAN: 1 year (Preferred)
