Job Summary and Qualifications

Full‑time (Monday – Friday, days), no nights, no on‑call, no weekends, no holidays. Seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician responsible for preparing, delivering, and restocking medications while maintaining proficiency with all equipment and technology necessary to fulfill job responsibilities as directed by physicians.

• Assist in procurement, preparation, delivery, return, and restocking of medications, including but not limited to filling and delivering oral medications, compounding parenteral medications, filling automated dispensing cabinets, filling code cart trays and pharmacy kits, and restocking returned medications prior to the end of each shift.
• Assist with putting away pharmacy orders and notify the Buyer or Technician Supervisor of stock‑outs and borrowing medications as needed.
• Complete the technician job responsibility list for assigned shift and ensure appropriate hand‑off communication and procedures are followed prior to leaving at end of shift.
• Maintain proper demeanor and communication with all hospital employees.
• Ensure personal compliance with USP 797 regulations and documentation.
• Perform expiration‑date audits and nursing station inspections with on‑time completion and documentation.
• Ensure pre‑packing and compounding logs are completed and filed appropriately.
• Assist the Technician Supervisor with the orientation and training of new hires as assigned.
• Adhere to all facility and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs as well as safety, environmental and infection control standards in the performance of work duties.
• Maintain professional growth and development through continuing education to remain current.
• Comply with required classes and vaccinations by CMC (Code of Conduct, influenza vaccine, TB skin tests).

• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
• Registration with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy.
