Center Carpentry is hiring an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our residential remodeling and custom-build team. While this role is posted in Concord,
all projects are based in Ashland, NH and the surrounding Central NH/Lakes Region
. We welcome candidates from Concord who are comfortable with a predictable commute.
We specialize in high-quality renovations, additions, and custom residential work for homeowners who value craftsmanship, communication, and long-term relationships. We're a small, tight-knit team with high standards, a healthy culture, and a commitment to building work that lasts.
What You’ll Do- Lead daily production on residential jobsites, working hands-on with apprentices and journey workers
- Read and interpret drawings, elevations, and specifications
- Plan work sequences, material needs, and daily goals to keep projects on schedule
- Execute all phases of residential carpentry: framing, trim, cabinetry, windows/doors, siding, and finish work
- Coordinate and supervise specialty subcontractors
- Uphold company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager on progress and needs
- Train and mentor less-experienced carpenters
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected jobsite
- Use Job Tread for daily logs, updates, and communication
- 7+ years of residential carpentry experience
, including custom and finish work - Proven ability to lead small crews and set the pace on-site
- Strong skill set across framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry install, and exterior carpentry
- Reliable transportation to Ashland, NH job locations
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- Well-maintained professional hand tools (larger equipment provided)
- Humble, organized, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement
- $34-$40/hr
