Location: Rochester, NY office. For most of our positions at Insero, you can work in the office every day or, if you like, in a hybrid structure working up to 3 days from home.

  • Engage in complex tax planning and develop creative ideas to reduce tax liabilities.

  • Monitor tax deadlines to ensure that returns are prepared on a timely basis; communicate with managers during the preparation process to identify any tax issues needing addressing and to pull jobs so that they reach the technical review stage timely.

  • Assist audit and accounting staff with non‑complex tax questions.
  • Understand tax accruals.
  • Respond to routine IRS or state tax notices and, if needed, participate in IRS audits and administrative hearings.
  • Mentor and develop other tax professionals in the department.

Manager/Senior Manager duties also include:

  • Work directly with our Tax Partners & Principals and serve as a key technical liaison with clients; involved with both compliance and consulting projects.
  • Serve as a front‑line client advisor, developing strong, lasting relationships with clients and ensuring the highest quality in service delivery and compliance.
