Audit Internship; Summer

Rochester, NY or Ithaca, NY

Pay: $24/hour

We are seeking candidates interested in a full‑time paid internship starting in June 2027 in either Rochester or Ithaca, NY.

The purpose of our internship program is to provide students the opportunity to fulfill tasks set out by various teams to gain valuable experience and insight into the everyday environment of a public accounting firm. The internship is a hands‑on experience which will prepare you for a transition into your career.

• Training on and becoming proficient in our audit software.
• Training on and becoming proficient with our fixed asset and depreciation software.
• Gaining a working knowledge of basic audit procedures and our standard audit practices as well as pension plan auditing or nonprofit/town/county/school district audits.
• Gaining a basic understanding of how audit work flows through the office.
• Gaining exposure to dealing with our client personnel.
• Improving basic organization and planning skills.

Accounting students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and in their sophomore through senior year or enrolled in a graduate accounting degree program are eligible for this position. Students must be returning to school. The ideal candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, functional knowledge of the MS Office Suite (including Word and Excel), be able to meet deadlines, be proactive, have solid multi‑tasking skills, and strong analytical ability.
