Bookkeeper

Blessed Sacrament, Rochester, is seeking a part-time bookkeeper. Interested candidates to submit resume.

The purpose of this position is to provide bookkeeping services for the parish shared service center.

Parish Finance Director

Part-time (10 hours per week), Hourly wage $18-20 per hour

• Process all accounts payable invoices and check requests for all shared service parishes. Prepare cash disbursements checks and file all Accounts Payable related documents.
• Record all on-line deposits in the accounting system monthly.
• Assist with all bank account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Assists with weekly collection accounting process.
• Monitors all vendor certificate of insurance forms to ensure annual updates are received on a timely basis and follow diocesan requirements.
• Maintains parish W9 files.
• Other projects on an as needed basis.
• Attend related diocesan-sponsored training, workshops and classes as needed.

• Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community. (Sometimes this requirement may be satisfied by a person who has knowledge of and is willing to function in a manner consistent with the mission of the Catholic Church.)
• Work experience establishing and maintaining bookkeeping system consistent with the Diocesan guidelines is required for Bookkeeper level.
• Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to set priorities and organize work effectively and efficiently.
• High School degree or equivalent.
