Full Charge Accountant

Overview

The Custom Realty family of companies is a Rochester, NY–based real estate group comprised of multiple affiliated entities, including residential and commercial brokerage, business brokerage, and property management. In addition to our service-based operations, we own and manage an real estate asset firm a portfolio of real estate investments and are expanding into new platforms, including our auction-based transaction platform.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Full Charge Accountant based in Rochester, NY. The Full Charge Accountant will oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple affiliated entities.

• Maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements and reports, managing payroll, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• The role will also support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Experience preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets across multiple entities preferred
• Proficiency in payroll processing and regulatory compliance
• Advanced skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple entities
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA designation is a plus
