Pay Range: $25.97-$30.29 (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)
Full‑Time 40 hours Monday‑Friday Days
General ScopeAssists in the development and maintenance of sound fiscal practices for Jewish Home and its related companies. Participates in the accounting functions of the Finance department with a specific concentration in general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and reporting.
Education / QualificationBachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Must have excellent math and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting systems. Experience with Acumatica accounting software preferred.
Essential Functions- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, including preparation and posting of journal entries and review of intercompany billings.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, research and reconcile all discrepancies.
- Provide assistance to managers and directors for monthly expense variance analysis.
- Maintain the fixed asset listing and associated depreciation schedules in the Acumatica accounting software.
- Provide year‑end support for auditor requirements, which may include research and reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies.
- Assist with preparation of 990 and NYS CHAR 500 tax returns and other reports as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding accounting, resident, and payroll information.
- All other job duties as assigned.
At least four (4) years of accounting experience. Not‑for‑Profit and/or Healthcare industry preferred.
