Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for one of our clients on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. This opportunity is ideal for an organized accounting professional with experience supporting day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and reconciliations.

The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting team with a variety of transactional and administrative accounting functions. The ideal candidate is accurate, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with invoice processing, payment posting, and account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to billing, payments, and account balances.
• Support month-end close activities and prepare reports for the accounting team as needed.
• Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with company procedures and internal controls.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting-related questions.
