Our dynamic and rapidly expanding company is seeking a driven and experienced Permanent Controller to join our Accounting + Finance team. This role is integral to the financial health and growth of our organization, and we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of financial regulations and laws, and a passion for maintaining the financial integrity of a company.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and be proficient in Quick Books and Monthly Reporting. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborating with the management team to understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software, particularly Quick Books.
• Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
• An ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
