iWorld Professionals is seeking a Professional Services Operations Manager for our client, a leading regional accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Rochester NY.
Professional Services Operations ManagerPosition Summary:
In this role, you will oversee the operational administration of the tax engagement lifecycle, including client onboarding, engagement setup, document collection, billing support, workflow coordination, and day-to-day tax practice operations. You will help ensure deadlines are met, issues are addressed or escalated appropriately, and clients and tax professionals receive consistent support.
Professional Services Operations Manager Responsibilities:- Oversee operational processes supporting the accounting tax engagement lifecycle, from client onboarding through return delivery and filing.
- Manage client setup, engagement administration, and related operational standards.
- Coordinate client information and document collection, including follow-up on outstanding items.
- Prioritize and resolve client and internal practice issues using established procedures.
- Manage client-facing operational communications and ensure timely, professional follow-up.
- Support tax partners and professionals with invoice preparation, billing administration, payment follow-up, and billing-status monitoring.
- Monitor workloads, deadlines, handoffs, and outstanding items, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Develop and maintain procedures, checklists, service standards, and operational reports.
- Collaborate with systems and process leadership on workflow improvements, automation, testing, and technology implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in tax operations, accounting practice administration, client operations, engagement administration, or a comparable environment.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting.
- Strong organizational, written communication, client-service, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing procedures, checklists, service standards, or operational reports preferred.
- High degree of discretion, reliability, attention to detail, and sound operational judgment.
Base Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
