Project Accounting Support Coordinator

Permanent | Direct Hire
Pay: $22-27 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

About the Role

TES Staffing is partnering with a well-established construction-focused company to hire a Project Accounting Support Coordinator to support day-to-day financial and administrative operations tied directly to active jobs and projects.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked in or around the trades (construction, HVAC, roofing, utilities, or other project-based environments) and understands how job costs, receipts, and paperwork flow from the field to the office.

You’ll be a key support resource for Project Managers and field staff, helping keep expenses organized, accounts accurate, and projects running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Process and code purchasing card (P-card) receipts by job, project, or division

  • Review and track employee expense reports and reimbursements

  • Follow up with field staff to collect missing or incomplete receipts

  • Order, activate, and maintain purchasing cards for employees

  • Research and resolve unapplied payments and minor account discrepancies

  • Support accounts receivable with payment questions and documentation

  • Maintain accurate customer, vendor, and job records

  • Track and manage subcontractor certificates of insurance

  • Provide clerical accounting and administrative support to Project Managers

  • Assist with bid documentation, job setup, and project closeout paperwork

Experience & Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting support, expense processing, or administrative finance

  • Experience in construction, trades, or project-based environments strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with job costing, expense reports, or P-cards is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • COINS or construction accounting software experience helpful but not required
