Location: City of Rochester

The Neighborhood Coordinator helps keep the neighborhood running smoothly and seamlessly by overseeing daily scheduling of staff shifts, communicating with household staff on the day’s events, and ensuring excellent customer services to residents, family, visitors and employees.

Hours Vary weekly Days and evening;
Weekends and holidays. Monday-Friday will be on the evening shift (3:00pm-9:00pm) or mid shift (11:00am-5:00pm) You will need to work 2 of the 6 holidays per year

Qualifications &

Education Required:
  • High school degree or GED required
  • BS in healthcare management or similar field preferred
  • Scheduling in health care experience preferred
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Desire to interact with residents and care for their needs

Position Responsibilities:
  • Maintain daily oversight of the neighborhood staff schedule, ensure posting of daily staffing 7 days/week.
  • Manage open shifts through scheduling software and in coordination with other Neighborhood Coordinators, under the direction of the Nursing Administration Coordinator
  • Communicate staffing and scheduling needs to neighborhood nurses and shahbazim, continually reviewing and updating the neighborhood schedules.
  • Cover on-call for staffing and scheduling for the neighborhood or the facility, as assigned.
  • Process weekly payroll in preparation for Neighborhood Administrator approval
  • Be an active participant in the Small Homes philosophy.
  • Maintain records of staff inservice attendance if assigned to do so by the Neighborhood Administrator.
  • Prepare and/or distribute various data lists and documents as requested by the Neighborhood Administrator or Nursing Administration
  • Assist with hiring and supervision of nursing float staff.
  • Schedules nursing float staff; makes decisions on where they are needed and instructs them to go to that floor.
  • Monitors attendance and performance of nursing float staff, with assistance and oversight from ADON or DON.
  • Help with other duties as needed that support the Core Team to fulfill St John’s Brand Characteristics.
