* The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
*** Responsibilities:
** Under general direction and with some latitude for independent judgment, assists volunteer manager with planning, organization, and processing of Friends of Strong volunteers. Responsible for volunteer program administrative details and duties in the volunteer VSys software system, Signup Genius, MyPath, and other software programs related to the success of a 700+ person volunteer program. Works in collaboration with volunteer team to coordinate program peaks and day to day program needs.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*** Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of managing the volunteer software program VSys, MyPath learning management system for volunteers, Sign up Genius, and other programs as necessary.  Provides administrative support to the volunteer program using the VSys software program, including the creation, running and maintenance of reports and letters (weekly, monthly, annually.) Ensures accuracy of all data in VSys program. Serves as a resource for any volunteer or system related issues.
* Primary point of contact and facilitator for volunteer MyPath training needs. Acts as point of contact for Employee Health communications; including planning, scheduling, documentation, and follow up for all volunteer related health processes. Tracks and manages annual certifications for all volunteers including MyPath trainings and health requirements. Ensures that all tracking and reporting is up to date and completed in a timely manner.
* With input from the Manager, coordinates and implements recruitment and placement efforts for the volunteer program which onboards about 400 new volunteers a year. Conducts interviews with prospective volunteers and makes decisions regarding the best placement for the candidate within the institution. Coordinates and directs, organizes and facilitates the orientation process for volunteers, including orienting volunteers to policies and procedures and advising on matters of confidentiality (HIPAA) and Strong Commitment.

Assures volunteers follow all Joint Commission and NYSDOH requirements.
* Assists with preparation for volunteer peaks. This includes, but is not limited to creating accurate tools for peak recruitment process, such as activity boards, orientation material updates, and scheduling documents. Primarily responsible for all ‘new start’ processes, including directions on signing in and proper documentation of hours. Engages in consistent and timely communication with key stakeholders during these high volume processing peaks
* Provides backup for the front desk secretary and the Family Waiting Room receptionist as needed.

** MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
*** High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience required

*** Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task when necessary preferred.
* Requires scheduling flexibility during peaks.
* Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of staff and volunteers. Excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Proficiency in VSys volunteer program software preferred.
* Moderate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
