Job Title

The employee in this position is responsible for the coordination of their assigned work unit's purchasing and procurement activities, City Council Transmittal process, and other high-level administrative activities.

Typical Work Activities

Analyzes and distributes programmatic and administrative reports;
Coordinates and oversees the work unit's monthly City Council Agenda submission;
Manages and oversees all departmental purchasing and procurement functions;
Manages and oversees the City Apprenticeship Program and related compliance activities;
Manages the analysis, reporting, and improvement of processes and programs;
Acts as department liaison with other City administrative departments and sub-units;
Acts as department liaison to external contractors and vendors;
Prepares and presents informational and formal presentations on major programs and initiatives;
Monitors specific programs for compliance with regulations;
Prepares a variety of technical reports;
Represents department on various committees and project work groups.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED PLUS: I. Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field AND three (3) years of experience in administrative analysis, budget analysis, grant applications or analysis of fiscal or monetary programs for a public or private institution, agency or department; OR II. Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years of experience as described in

A. OR III. Six (6) years of experience as defined in

A.

CITY RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE.
