We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to support document organization and records management for a non-profit organization in Rochester, New York. This Contract position focuses on maintaining accurate physical and electronic files, helping staff access information efficiently, and ensuring records are handled with care. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working with both paper documents and digital filing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Organize, label, and maintain paper records so files are easy to locate and properly stored.
• Scan incoming and archived documents, confirming that digital copies are clear, complete, and accurately saved.
• File documents into electronic systems using established naming conventions and recordkeeping procedures.
• Prepare file boxes for storage, retrieval, and distribution while keeping inventory records up to date.
• Sort and route documents to the appropriate departments or staff members in a timely manner.
• Review files for completeness and identify missing, duplicate, or incorrectly placed records.
• Assist with large-volume document handling projects, including record cleanup and archive organization.
• Protect confidential information by following document security and privacy guidelines at all times.
