Role
Administrative Coordinator for the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, responsible for patient reception, registration, scheduling, and communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients, collect and verify demographic and financial information, manage referral queues and incoming calls, schedule appointments, coordinate procedures, and handle billing and financial transactions. Ensure accurate data entry, maintain patient confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service. Support scheduling for tests, surgeries, and ancillary services, while managing communication between patients, providers, and staff.
Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma with at least one year of administrative or customer service experience; knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Must demonstrate strong communication, attention to detail, independent judgment, computer proficiency, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with scheduling systems and billing processes is advantageous. Ability to act as a resource and uphold values of equity, integrity, and respect.
