Engineering Program Management opportunity with a well-established Rochester-area manufacturer, supporting customer-driven projects in a technical manufacturing environment. This role combines project ownership, customer interaction, commercial coordination, and cross-functional leadership, with responsibility for keeping programs aligned, resolving issues, and maintaining progress from early planning through delivery. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across engineering and operations, communicating directly with customers, managing multiple priorities, and helping ensure technical and business requirements stay on track throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Lead manufacturing programs at various stages of development and execution
- Coordinate activities between customers and internal technical and operational teams
- Keep projects aligned with customer expectations, business priorities, and delivery commitments
- Support early-stage project planning, pricing discussions, and commercial documentation
- Track progress, identify issues, and help drive timely resolution
- Facilitate communication across engineering, production, quality, sourcing, and other business functions
- Help manage project changes and evolving customer requirements
- Support financial and commercial aspects of assigned programs
- Improve internal processes, communication, and program-management practices
- Provide regular updates to key stakeholders and leadership
- Experience managing technical projects or programs in a manufacturing environment
- Background in custom machinery, engineered equipment, automation, aerospace, precision manufacturing, or another project-driven industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering and operations teams
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and complex project requirements
- Experience with estimating, proposals, contracts, or commercial project support
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- PMP or formal project-management training is a plus
