Summary:

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience that provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and be part of our company. Our college interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire summer. Through the internship program, our interns can attend development workshops that are focused on key business concepts.

Interns may work within the skills-based tracks of Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non-technical and/or technical based degree programs.

• This is a paid 10-week summer internship from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).
• Interns may reside in either a technical or non-technical area.
• Development workshops are provided to help with the transition from school to the corporate environment.
• Housing is not provided as part of our program.

• Specific duties will vary by assignment; specific divisional callouts are listed below.
• The Summer Intern will collaborate with the Wellbeing Team to enhance the work we do for our Commercial Customers, including groups, brokers and members. This includes work around helping to create or update healthy challenges or campaigns, various healthy workshop offerings that we can roll out to our groups, and guides that our employers can use to support their own workplace wellbeing programs.
  
  We are always looking for ways to grow upon our portfolio of resources that we can be bringing to market, and the Summer Intern would be helping to create or update resources as needed.
• Works with a mentor and supports key strategic projects.
• Completes work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
• Performs a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks that will cover a broad range of business-related projects.
• Creates and delivers presentations at completion of internship.
• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
• Maintain confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with the company policies.
• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

• Desired Majors/Degree Programs Include:
  Public Health, Health Education or Promotion, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Social Work, Health & Society or similar program(s)
• Preferred (but not required) experience with:
  Any previous work in Health Promotion & Education. Public Health Principles:
  Familiarity with population health, epidemiology, and social determinants of health. Technology Tools:
  Skilled with Word Tools (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.). Data Analysis & Evaluation:
  Ability to assess program effectiveness using surveys and health metrics. Nutrition, Fitness, and Mental Health:
  Basic knowledge of lifestyle medicine and holistic wellness approaches.
• High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company.
