The Assistant Construction Superintendent is a key leadership role where you'll be the point person on-site, ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
Assistant Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day field operations and keep everything running smoothly, including:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to finish
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and materials to meet project timelines
- Monitor quality of work and ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Manage project schedules, inspections, and jobsite safety
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays
- Lead jobsite meetings with project teams, subcontractors, and owners
- Maintain daily logs, track progress, and support reporting needs
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
- Drive project closeout, including punch lists and final inspections
- Ensure proper staffing and productivity across all phases of work
- 3+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction trades, sequencing, and jobsite coordination
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documents
- Experience with construction software
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in real time
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
