Safety Technician

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Project Based Safety Technician to support and uphold federal, state, and local safety regulations across our projects. This role plays a key part in reinforcing our culture of safety and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all safety procedures on construction job sites and report unsafe conditions or incidents to management immediately

Build trust with clients and team members by demonstrating a Professional Consulting Mindset

Identify, document, and follow up on hazardous conditions to ensure proper resolution

Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits and participate in federal, state, and insurance safety inspections

Investigate accidents involving personal injury or property damage

Review and communicate project-specific safety requirements

Assist with appeals for safety citations

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in a related field OR at least 5 years of relevant safety experience

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and certification requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety inspection reporting applications

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Compensation:

The base salary range for this in-office position based out of Rochester, NY is $62,000 - $91,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
