Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Construction Observer to observe and verify the construction phase of various infrastructure projects in Geneva, NY. This role will be responsible for monitoring, communicating, and documenting the work activities that are observed. Projects may include: water distribution systems, sewer collection systems, water/wastewater facilities and pump stations, road and drainage improvements, and new/existing building facilities.
Position RequirementsMinimum qualifications include 3-5 years of utility and/or site construction experience. The successful candidate will be familiar with construction documents, primarily drawings and specifications, and able to ensure that the construction conforms to the information presented in these documents. The individual must be a self‑starter with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and comprehension of Word, Excel and web‑based document control are required.
Experience with wastewater requirements, building construction, and concrete work is a plus. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is also helpful to perform the duties of this role.
Pay Range: $30.00/hour – $38.00/hour. Actual hourly rate will be based upon criteria such as experience, qualifications, and skill level.
