Pike is seeking a highly driven Construction Project Scheduler to join our Project Controls team in Rochester, NY. This role is critical in developing, analyzing, and maintaining complex construction schedules that drive project success from preconstruction through completion.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-pressure environment, can manage multiple priorities at once, and understands how to build schedules that support complex projects — including data center and mission critical construction work.

If you are analytical, detail-oriented, and know how construction sequencing impacts the field, this could be a great fit.

As a Construction Project Scheduler, you will partner with operations and project teams to create, maintain, and analyze schedules that support project execution, identify risks, and drive solutions.

Scheduling & Planning

    • Resource loading
    • Activity durations
  • Create proposal schedules with Operations support
  • Build baseline schedules that include budgets, manpower, and resources
  • Analyze complex schedule constraints and sequencing issues
  • Understand project objectives and align schedules to project execution strategies
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications to develop accurate construction sequencing
Schedule Updates & Analysis
  • Update project schedules with current progress and field input
  • Analyze gained or lost time and identify impacts to critical path
  • Understand and communicate driving activities and schedule constraints
  • Identify retained logic and schedule anomalies for accurate reporting
  • Evaluate schedule impacts and recommend recovery strategies
  • Prepare CPM reports, schedule narratives, and executive-level updates
  • Clearly communicate schedule performance and trends to project teams and leadership
Project Controls & QA/QC
  • Perform QA/QC reviews on project schedules
  • Support teams with scheduling best practices and process improvements
  • Ensure schedule accuracy, consistency, and reporting integrity
  • Assist in identifying risks before they impact project performance
  • Help teams understand schedule analysis and recovery opportunities
What We're Looking For Required Experience
  • 5+ years of construction scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • Strong experience developing and managing CPM construction schedules
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced construction environments
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities in a high-stress environment
  • Experience supporting large or complex construction projects
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with data center / mission critical construction scheduling strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of commissioning schedules, turnover milestones, and critical infrastructure sequencing
  • Experience working on projects with aggressive schedules and multiple stakeholders
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and how buildings are built
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
The Right Candidate Will Bring
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in a high-stress, high-volume environment
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Confidence working with field teams, operations leaders, and executive stakeholders
