OverviewWendel is looking for a well-versed General Construction Cost Estimator experienced with both high-level conceptual cost estimating at early project stages and bid-level, detailed cost estimates. This position is based in New York, with openings in Williamsville, NY and Rochester, NY, and will join the New York based Construction Management team.
Responsibilities- Assist Lead Estimator with General Trades and Site Development estimating firm wide.
- Conduct conceptual-level estimating and milestone estimates during design progression and detailed bid-level construction cost estimates.
- Assemble and roll up cost estimates to include all trades on a project.
- Be an integral part of the Construction Management Practice Area and assist with the future strategic growth of the Estimating Team.
- An Associate’s Degree in Construction Technology/Management, Engineering or Architecture is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in General Construction Cost Estimating with multidiscipline buildings and infrastructure projects of all sizes.
- Proficiency and significant experience with General Trades and Site Development Cost Estimating from concept through detailed bid level estimates.
- Use of cost estimating software and development of detailed quantity take-offs and application of historical cost data to prepare estimates.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
- Leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000.
Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary offered will also take into consideration regional adjustment factors.
