We serve a diverse range of clients and industries and are committed to delivering high-quality electrical construction, service, and design-build solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our Rochester team.

Role Description

The Electrical Estimator is a full-time, on-site position based in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.

The Electrical Estimator reviews project plans, specifications, and bid documents; performs quantity takeoffs and labor analyses; coordinates pricing with suppliers and vendors; and evaluates project scope, risks, and opportunities. This position also supports design-build projects through preconstruction activities and collaborates closely with project managers, field personnel, customers, and vendors to develop practical, cost-effective electrical solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction estimating experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using electrical estimating software such as Accu Bid, Con Est, McCormick, or similar platforms
  • CAD experience through professional or educational experience
  • Completion of a post-secondary education program or formal electrical training program
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, construction drawings, and project specifications
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Valid New York State Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with commercial and industrial electrical construction projects
  • Design-build project experience
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Experience working with customers, engineers, vendors, and project management teams
