Full-time Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator)
Pet Vet Care Centers' Stoney Pointe Pet Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join the team.
Position OverviewContribute to the success of a high-performing organization by performing a range of administrative and customer service tasks, supporting the hospital and ensuring exceptional client care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations
- Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments
- Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being
- Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products
- Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts
- Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records
- Reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files and records
- Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance
- Accurate cash handling and cashiering abilities
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work at a keyboard or workstation for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting animals up to 50 pounds
- Customer service experience or experience in the veterinary field
Day shifts throughout the week with some flexibility. Rotating Saturdays from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM are required.
Pay Range$16.50 — $19 USD per hour
