PIA P&C Support Specialist; Tier II

Position: PIA P&C Support Specialist (Tier II)
Description We are looking for a PIA P& C Support Specialist (Tier II) to provide knowledgeable support for property and casualty insurance offerings in Rochester, New York. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance client service, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination while working with both internal teams and external partners. The individual in this role will help address complex coverage and service questions, maintain accurate communication records, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen the overall client experience.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver advanced assistance to internal staff, clients, and external partners regarding property and casualty products, including workers' compensation and bond-related services.

- Manage inbound and outbound communications tied to service needs, policy-related questions, and account support activities for the assigned business area.

- Investigate client concerns thoroughly, analyze available information, and resolve product or service issues with accuracy and professionalism.

- Escalate complicated or sensitive matters to the appropriate technical or specialized resources and keep leadership informed when urgent situations arise.

- Document interactions, resolutions, and follow-up steps clearly to ensure complete and reliable communication records.

- Use internal platforms, reporting tools, and carrier or bureau websites to research inquiries and provide timely responses.

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to support service excellence.

- Recommend updates to workflows, procedures, and support practices that improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

- Stay current on insurance industry developments, regulatory updates, policy changes, and product enhancements relevant to supported services.

- Take part in assigned training sessions, special projects, and other duties that support team and business objectives. Requirements - High school diploma required.

- At least 2 years of customer service experience or insurance-related experience.

- Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance concepts, including workers' compensation and related coverage support.

- Ability to handle high-volume inbound and outbound communication while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

- Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills for resolving client and product issues.

- Experience using multiple software applications, online systems, and web-based resources to complete daily work.

- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
