The Affiliate Vascular and Interventional Radiology division at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) is seeking an A
-certified or A
-eligible Interventional Radiologist to join our innovative, multi-site program. This is a unique opportunity to practice advanced IR procedures and diagnostic imaging in a collaborative, technology-forward environment, while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of the beautiful Rochester/Finger Lakes area.
- Dynamic Practice: Work across three sites—UR Thompson Health (Canandaigua), Geneva General Hospital, and UR Noyes Health—offering a broad mix of IR cases and diagnostic imaging (40–50% diagnostic).
- Comprehensive Case Mix: Perform a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventions from image-guided biopsies/drain placements to therapeutic interventional oncology, venous thromboembolism (VTE) management, and endovascular procedures (PVD and AAA management). Participate in comprehensive ambulatory VIR clinics at four locations.
- Collaborative Team: Join a supportive, technology-forward group with robust backup, full university affiliation, and no mammography requirements.
- Modern Infrastructure: Benefit from state-of-the-art imaging equipment, IT platforms, and strong subspecialist support.
- Perform the full spectrum of IR procedures, including endovascular interventions, biopsies, drainages, interventional oncology, venous interventions, and other image-guided therapies.
- Participate in VIR clinics and multidisciplinary teams (tumor boards, stroke/interventional teams) and contribute to peri-procedural care pathways.
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care and mentor colleagues, staff, and APPs.
- Engage with modern IT/PACS systems and contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives, if desired.
- Predictable 1-in-5 call schedule: one week at a time.
- Remote call coverage for all regional/affiliate sites; on-site call only at UR Thompson.
- Additional incentives for off-hours coverage.
- Annual Salary $544,500 - $621,100, additional clinical and non-clinical incentives may apply.
