Gynecologic Oncologist – University of Rochester Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology Position Overview

The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), a nationally recognized academic medical center and home to the Wilmot Cancer Institute, an NCI designated Cancer Center, is seeking a board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist to join its growing Division of Gynecologic Oncology. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice in a collaborative, research driven, patient centered environment with access to state of the art clinical, surgical, and translational resources.

The Division conducts clinical and basic research, including active Phase 1–3 clinical trials. We hold ACGME accreditation for our Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship and place a strong emphasis on outstanding education.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in serving as the fellowship Program Director and will join a dynamic team committed to excellence in clinical care, innovative research, and the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

• Provide comprehensive surgical and medical management of patients with gynecologic malignancies, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate closely with radiation oncology, pathology, medical oncology, genetics, and supportive care teams.
• Deliver high quality inpatient and outpatient care across URMC and affiliated regional sites.

• Serve as the Program Director for an ACGME-accredited Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the ACGME accredited Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship.
• Participate in curriculum development, skills training, and scholarly activities within the department.

• Engage in clinical, translational, or health services research supported by the robust infrastructure of the Wilmot Cancer Institute.
• Contribute to clinical trial accrual, and publication of peer reviewed work.
• Opportunities exist for collaboration with basic scientists, population health researchers, and investigators across the University of Rochester.

• Participate in divisional, departmental, and institutional committees.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development within the cancer center and OB/GYN department.

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certified in Gynecologic Oncology.
• Eligibility for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, multidisciplinary care, and advancing the field of gynecologic oncology.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
