As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Conduct pre‑anesthetic assessments and consultations
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
- Manage patient recovery and address any complications
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesiology practices
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in anesthesiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 7a‑5p
1 offsite weeknight call per week (~5p‑7a), 1 24‑hour offsite weekend call per week
Annual Volume: 11-12k cases (includes ambulatory surgery center volumes)
Patient Population:
Neonates & older
Cases:
General, ENT, ortho, uro, plastics, neurosurgery, pulmonary, ophthalmology, dental/oral surgery - no cardiac
5 pediatric ORs, cath lab, 2 MRI, GI, CT scan, IR, and 2 ophthalmology
1:2 supervision of residents or CRNAs

Board-certification & fellowship required
