- 3:30 p.m. which includes a morning and afternoon session.
8:30 - 11:30 a.m. & 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.

The Middle School Career Academy is a summer opportunity offered to current 6-8th grade students organized and sponsored by the Rochester/ZED Perkins Consortium. It is a collaboration between RCTC, RPS, ZED and Pine Island schools and industry partners. The academy offers students an interactive glimpse into up to two of eight different career pathways.

The Middle School Career Academy is currently looking for licensed teacher applicants to facilitate the pathways. Instructors will collaborate with industry partners to plan content and lead the sessions.
We believe that all students can learn and that motivating students is an essential part of teaching.
QUALIFICATIONS- Minnesota teaching license required.
- Previous summer program experience preferred.
- Regular, on-time attendance is required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Demonstrated Educational Leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
- Participate in planning prior to start of program.
- Direct and help manage behavior and discipline.
- Coordinate and supervise student use of facilities, bus transportation, and related issues.
- Plan and organize engaging activities.
- Connect and collaborate with industry partners.
- Conduct setup and clean up of activities.
- Facilitate student sessions.
- Be responsible for cohort of students for the entirety of the camp.
- Three student contact days.
- Attendance and bus communication.
- Mandatory planning/meeting time.
- Serve as parent contact for students in Middle School Camp.
- Provide safe and positive learning environment.
- Develop relationships and encourage positive self-efficacy for all students.
