Job Qualifications
To begin coaching, a basic requirement needed is some background in the sport and documentation of the following:
- Certification in First-Aid:
Responding to Emergencies (District approved). - Certification in Adult and Child CPR/AED (District approved).
- Child Abuse Course/SAVE Workshop completed.
- Verification of being fingerprinted.
- If a non-teacher, coaching license in hand.
- Season: TBD
Potential Candidates need to possess one of the three (3) following criteria:
- A certified physical education teacher
- A teacher certified in an area other than physical education (e.g. English, Mathematics)
- Hold no teaching certificate, but must have, or qualify for, a Temporary Coaching License
